I also want to give my personal take on the incident. I saw the jet
in its final moments. The pilots had time to eject. They chose not to.
Instead, they flew their aircraft into the ground on the base, thus
sparing countless hundreds of lives in the crowded Hukou area that would
have been lost in the crash and subsequent explosion.
我同時也要提出我個人對於此項意外的看法。我目擊這架戰機的最後一刻，駕駛員
有足夠的彈射時間。他們卻選擇不這麼做。相反地，他們駕駛飛機駛向基地的地面，
也因此挽救了位於擁擠的湖口地區，數以百計可能因戰機墜毀與接著而來的爆炸而
失去生命的人們。
When I look at the photos of 5371, I see 2 heroes in the cockpit....
當我看著5371(失事F-5F戰機編號)的照片，我看到的是駕駛艙中的兩個英雄。

抱歉插個話 這一段要不要也翻一下 在揶揄妓者的
I have been asked by the lead investigator to hold off from
publishing my photos for awhile. He is concerned that the local
Taiwanese press may steal them off my flickr.com site.
I just laughed it off, saying that we could sue them
and give the money to the families of the deceased and injured.
The press here are less than exemplary, let's say.
