Mike Newell, the director who focused on matrimony with "Four
Weddings And A Funeral," will next direct Gwyneth Paltrow as a
woman looking to get single.
The Hollywood Reporter says Newell is in advanced negotiations
to direct "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days." The film tells the
story of a man who bets his friends he can stay in a
relationship for more than 10 days.
No names for the male lead have been mentioned, but Paltrow
would play a woman he becomes involved with who is determined
to dump her suitor.
The film is based on a book written by Michele Alexander and
Jeannie Long, and the script is currently being rewritten,
according to The Hollywood Reporter.
