Gwyneth Paltrow has ended her feud with makeup artist to the stars
Kevyn Aucoin - because he's good for her image. Aucoin - a favourite
of the Shakespeare In Love beauty - is the uncontested maestro of
makeup, and reportedly charges upwards of $7,000 for a face. But,
according to a friend, the pair had a falling out. The pal explains,
"Kevyn went to Gwyneth's apartment to do her makeup and was acting
way too friendly and familiar for Gwyneth's taste. When he got there
it was still early by her standards, and he was going around opening
the blinds and making himself tea. She was furious. She said he
didn't know his place and that she'd never let him work on her face
again." However, it seems the feud has now ended - Aucoin has just
set up a new website, and names Paltrow under the banner 'People We
Love'. The friend adds, "Gwyneth is absolutely desperate to make
Shallow Hal a hit and get back into the good graces of the public.
When someone can transform your face the way Kevin does, you put
your ego on hold, even if you're Gwyneth." A spokeswoman for Paltrow
insists that there never was any rift.
