Paltrow Full Press CourtGwyneth Paltrow; Princess Diana; A Perfect Murder Gwyneth Paltrow says Princess Diana's death has softened the British press by Josh Wolk EW daily news June 5, 1998, 12:30 a.m. Gwyneth Paltrow, whose new movie "A Perfect Murder" opens today, told EW Online from London that the English press is treating her like Hollywood royalty. "Since Princess Diana was killed, the British media are more respectful," says the actress, who just finished filming "Shakespeare in Love," written by Tom Stoppard and starring Geoffrey Rush and Dame Judi Dench. "If you ask them, 'Please don't follow me' or 'Please don't take a picture,' they actually listen, which they didn't used to." But Paltrow, 24, isn't naive enough to think that her media honeymoon will last forever. "Right now it's okay, because I'm in favor. They're really nice to me because everybody loves 'Sliding Doors,'" she says. "But I know from experience that they can really build you up and then have a big ol' party being rude and tearing you down."
