Ben Affleck managed to maintain his sense of humor about watching
girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow lock lips with Joseph Fiennes in the
upcoming Shakespeare in Love, a film in which he also has a small
role.
"How did I react to it? With fury and rage, like a man should act,"
the Oscar-winning star joked to the New York Daily News at the pic's
Thursday night premiere in New York.
Paltrow tells the paper that "Ben wasn't around" when she got up
close and personal on camera with Fiennes, although Affleck admits,
"I did see a few of the kisses."
Gwyneth, who is already winning raves for her performance in the
period piece, reassures Ben, "It's only a movie."
Hillary Clinton was among the high-profile guests at the premiere,
and both Affleck and Paltrow were nervous about their brush with
power.
"The First Lady walks into the room and immediately I'm trying to
think, 'Oh, God. What's the appropriate thing [to do]. What do I do
when I shake hands,'" says Affleck.
Adds Paltrow, "You try to be as articulate as you can, not drool on
yourself, or use bad language."
