ANNETTE BENING hates recording commentaries for the DVD release of her
movies, and had to be begged to provide one for her new film BEING JULIE.


Until now Bening has always refused to co-operate with filmmakers, because
she thinks her acting should "speak for itself".

She says, "Somehow they convinced me to do it. I've always steadfastly
avoided them as I can't bear them.

"I refused to do it for AMERICAN BEAUTY. If it's a good performance the work
speaks for itself. You don't need me to explain everything - just watch it
for goodness' sake."
