UC-Irvine的HCI也是頗有名聲, 尤其裡面有幾位教授都很有名, 所以不是剛興起的
我跟Michigan的HCI比較熟 所以在這邊幫大家做些更新

教授這邊需要更新比較大
Judy Olson跟Gary Olson兩位大老現在都在UC-Irvine, 已經不在 UM
現在SI的HCI主要教授是:
Mark S. Ackerman : CSCW, social computing, general HCI
Eytan Adar:InfoViz, social computing
Thomas Finholt: (嚴格說起來, 他現在的研究比較不偏向HCI)
Michael J. McQuaid: InfoViz, general HCI
Mark W. Newman: ubicomp, CSCW, general HCI
Paul Resnick: social computing, recommender system
Stephanie Teasley (嚴格說起來 她現在的研究也不偏向HCI)
另外..
Ixchel M. Faniel 雖然做的研究不是HCI, 但是現在本系的context inquiry
都是給她教 (之前的教授即為跳槽去UC Irvine的 Judy Olson)
給有要申請UM的幾位朋友參考一下
