Hewitt has cyst removed

LLEYTON Hewitt has had successful surgery to correct a chronic foot problem.
The world No. 2 returned to Adelaide yesterday to have a cyst removed from his
right foot and could be sidelined for up to six weeks.
Hewitt is on crutches after the operation and not expected to resume training
for two weeks.
He was treated by Davis Cup medico David Brooks.
Hewitt has been plagued by foot soreness throughout his career.
He was troubled again by the problem in his losing final against world No. 1
Roger Federer in Indian Wells at the weekend.
Hewitt had previously had corrective surgery for the same injury. He will miss
the Nasdaq-100 in Miami.

據澳洲媒體25日報道，休伊特在因腳傷被迫退出本周的邁阿密大師賽之後，已於當地
時間週四在家鄉阿德萊德進行了手術，醫生從其右腳中取出一塊囊腫。
不過儘管手術進行得非常成功，但是休伊特預計需要長達六周的恢復期，並且在兩周
之內不太可能重返賽場訓練，這使得他參加歐洲地區法網系列熱身賽的前景蒙上陰影。據
悉，做完手術的休伊特目前可以依靠拐杖行走，但是目前他只能待在阿德萊德的家中精養
右腳的傷勢是休伊特的老傷了，此前他曾做過矯正手術，但是顯然並沒有徹底根除疼
痛，此次澳洲野兔痛下決心放棄參加獎金豐厚的“第五大滿貫賽”邁阿密大師賽，看來也
是希望在紅土賽季和草地賽季到來之前，可以有更健康的身體狀態去挑戰老對手費德勒。
從上周在印第安維爾斯大師賽與費德勒的決賽來看，腳傷對於休伊特在移動時的影響
的確已經到了不得不進行手術的時候，而此前半決賽與羅迪克的三盤搶7大戰也是使得其
傷勢加重的禍根之一
