Curry, who played 16 years in the NBA, including a 10-year stint with the Charlotte Hornets, had served as the Bobcats' director of player development. He'll join first-year coach Sam Vincent's staff, which includes Phil Ford, Lee Rose, Jeff Capel and Paul Mokeski. Outlaw will take over many of Curry's former duties. The Bobcats have had a complete makeover of their basketball operations in the offseason. Former coach and general manager Bernie Bickerstaff stepped down from both roles to become vice president of basketball operations. Rod Higgins was hired as general manager and Buzz Peterson quit as coach at Coastal Carolina to become director of player personnel. Part-owner Michael Jordan has the final say on all basketball decisions.
