Six Appeal
It was positives all the way for Martin Jol after our 6-1 demolition of
Anorthosis Famagusta in the UEFA Cup first round, first leg at the Lane on
Thursday night.
週二晚上在白鹿巷開踢的UEFA Cup第一腿能夠6-1贏球對Jol來說真是太正面了。
Younes Kaboul started the ball rolling with a goal inside five minutes before
Michael Dawson, Robbie Keane and Darren Bent scored within minutes of each
other to make it a resounding 4-0 at the break.
開賽5分鐘Kaboul就開啟了攻勢，緊接著Dawson、Keane和達人連續開火，中場休息時比分
已經來到了4-0。
Jermain Defoe then stole the show in the second half with a sweet
double-strike - a clever chip over the keeper from 20 yards before a
powerfully-struck curler into the top corner to complete the scoring in
injury time. The only slight disappointment was Famagusta's goal, but it
should prove immaterial.
Defoe接著出來搶戲，先是漂亮越過守門員頭頂進球，又在傷停時間打遠腳破門。
這場比賽唯一令人失望的地方就是讓Famagusta取得客場進球，不過這應該影響不大。
"I told the players after the draw was made that we were pretty happy but you
never know, you still have to do it," reflected Martin.
Jol表示：
"抽籤結果出來之後我有跟球員們說，就算這結果讓你很爽但是球賽中會有很多無法預料
的變數，所以你們還是要好好踢這場球。"
"You have to score your goals and not concede - that was the only annoying
thing, to concede that goal.
"你們必須取得自己的進球，絕不讓步。"
"比較惱人的問題是──我們不能失球。"
"On the other hand, there were only positives out there. Benoit Assou-Ekotto
had a very good game, his first game for a while, Aaron Lennon started for
the first time this season and all my strikers scored.
"另一方面，這場比賽依然充滿正面意義。"
"AE在他今年的首場比賽表現相當不錯，Lennon本季第一次先發上場了。"
"而且我所有的前鋒都進球了！"
"I had a fellow on the bench and it was typical for him to come on and score
like that - that was all about his eagerness.
"我在板凳上的好夥計就是要這樣上場然後進球，他真的非常渴望。"
"Jermain made an impact and that's what I had in mind, that's why I put him
on.
"就跟我心裡想的一樣，Defoe在比賽中大放異彩，這也是我換上他的原因。"
"The strikers have to make the difference and if they do that, there is no
problem at all. Robbie Keane could have scored three, Darren Bent scored his
goal and Berbatov was on the bench.
"前鋒群必須作出一點改變，只要他們肯做，一切就沒問題了。"
"Keane說不定可以進3球，達人也進球了，BB托夫則是休息。"
"If they can push each other and prove themselves all the time then they'll
make it difficult for me, but there are no guarantees for any player. I look
at each game seperately."
"如果他們可以鞭策對方造成進步、又隨時都能證明自己的能力，我就會有甜蜜的負擔。"
"不過沒有任何球員的位置是保障名額，我會觀察每場比賽的表現下決定。"
