Jol defends Robinson
Tottenham boss Martin Jol has jumped to the defence of under-fire goalkeeper
Paul Robinson.
Robinson was to blame to two of Aston Villa's goals in the dramatic 4-4 draw
at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
The England international's latest blunders have raised questions over his
place in the side, but Jol insists he is fully behind the former Leeds
custodian.
"Robinson said in the dressing room 'It's my mistake' and held his hands up
for the first goal," Jol told the Daily Express.
"But he is pretty confident and apart from the awful situation against Croatia,
he has not conceded any goals in qualifying for England. He will be fine."
Meanwhile, Spurs defender Younes Kaboul insists all the players are behind
Martin Jol.
Kaboul's dramatic late equaliser against Villa helped ease the pressure on Jol
and the summer signing from Auxerre says the players are keen to turn things
round
"I know how important that goal was for the future of the manager," Kaboul
told The Sun.
"Martin is a very good coach. But he is not on the pitch, the players are - so
it's up to us to do the business."
"Our comeback proves how much we are still behind him. We all support him. It
was an incredible match for us.
"Villa came here to win but we knew we had to get something out of the game as
we're going through a tough time.
"It was not the score Tottenham wanted but, given the way the match went, the
result is good.
"Maybe this result could turn our season around. I hope so."

Jol跳出來力挺自責分兩分的Robbo
Jol說:
" Robbo在中場休息的時候舉起手對大家說'是我的錯'。
但是他相當有信心，替英格蘭出戰的比賽自從克羅埃西亞戰之後就沒在失球了。 "
同時Kaboul也堅持所有球員都支持Jol
Kaboul說:
" 我知道我的進球對Jol多重要。
Martin是一個很棒的教練，但是在場上的是我們球員，所以他的工作是選擇
追平比分證明了我們是多麼支持他，這場比賽對我們都是正向的。 "
" Villa來這就是要踢館，踢的很辛苦但是我們知道我們必須從比賽中得到什麼。
熱刺不希望這樣的進球，但是比賽需要，對結果也是好的。
或許這就是我們的轉折點，我希望是。 "
