LIFE`S A LAUGH WITH RAMOS
Jermaine Jenas has revealed how Juande Ramos helped make his mark at Tottenham
by using his limited English to crack jokes with players at White Hart Lane.
The language barrier between the Spanish head coach and his squad has slowly
been broken down in the three weeks since his appointment - and Spurs have been
unbeaten in that time too.
Ramos has made changes in training but has also imposed his personality on his
players since arriving from Sevilla.
"He likes to have a laugh," said Jenas. "His English is getting better, so he
has started telling some more of his jokes.
"He has been taking the mickey out of us in Spanish and English. He has not
been doing any pranks yet but he is very comfortable with us all.
"He is good to work with. You can tell he has won things and all he is trying
to do is turn us into a successful team and there is respect there."
Improving fitness levels has been an area Ramos has worked on, Jenas explained.
"It's something he's realised we probably need a bit more of and he's done
things to improve that," the 24-year-old midfielder added.
Jenas will be in central midfield on Sunday for the clash at West Ham when
Spurs look for points to climb further away from the Premier League relegation
zone.
He feels the current team is stronger than the side defeated at Upton Park 19
months ago, a defeat which denied them a Champions League place.
"It's nearly the same team," he said. "We lost Michael Carrick but brought in
the likes of Didier Zokora and we have Kevin-Prince Boateng and
Tom Huddlestone.
"If anything I feel we are getting stronger and it is up to us to get up there
and push for Europe."
From the team pipped by Arsenal to a place in Europe's elite, Dimitar Berbatov
has also bolstered the attack and Pascal Chimbonda has been a regular at
right-back.
Former boss Martin Jol may not have been given the left-sided midfielder he
wanted in the summer but Gareth Bale - a full-back by trade - has impressed
there. Bale is back from a foot injury and may return on Sunday.
Ramos will also have Ledley King back in around a month, as well as the players
he brings to White Hart Lane in January.
It means there could be plenty of competitions for places should Spurs recover
from their dreadful start to the season and fight for a European place in the
second half of the campaign.
"When the January transfer window comes along players across the country are
fighting for their places because it is a natural thing for teams to
strengthen their squads," added Jenas.

現在前場有BB穩住進攻 Pascal在右後衛的表現也很出色
雖然Jol沒得到他想要的左邊路 不過Bale的表現很讓人放心
下個月King會回來 冬轉Ramos勢必也會帶一些新人來
這也意味著位置上的競爭會更激烈

有些球迷在討論球迷是不是不喜歡JJ 因為每次球迷評分的部分JJ分數都不高 XD
