新聞來源 - Sky Sports Lennon "knocking on the door" Sven Goran Eriksson is certain that Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon will play for England one day, although the 2006 World Cup may come too soon for the Spurs youngster. Lennon tormented Arsenal in the North London derby at the weekend and his performances have been so impressive that he earned a place on the short-list for the PFA Young Player of the Year award that was won by Wayne Rooney. The former Leeds United wide man signed a new contract at White Hart Lane recently and is being forwarded as a possible 'wild card' entry into Eriksson's squad for Germany, despite the fact that he has yet to make his international debut. "Well, he's one of those knocking on the door," Eriksson informed Sky Sports News. "He's doing better and better. "I saw him twice and went to see him on Sunday [sic: Saturday] again. "He's knocking on the door. "He's young, if he's not going to the World Cup, I'm sure he will play for England one day." There has been speculation that Lennon could edge out Shaun Wright-Phillips of Chelsea for the right to be David Beckham's understudy during the tournament. ============================================================================ 表現越來越好的Lennon易利信表示他終有一天會替英格蘭出戰的 這番言論也讓人猜測他是否會替代在Chelsea不如意的Wright-Phillips -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 58.1.150.100
