The questions about The Answer began long before the Philadelphia 76ers
departed last October for Durham, NC, the site of their first training
camp under coach Jim O'Brien.

環繞著The Answer的種種問題，早在去年十月Jim O'Brien第一次率領七六人前往
北卡的Durham訓練營之前，就紛紛出籠了。



Can Allen Iverson co-exist with O'Brien after a tense relationship with
some of his former coaches? Does Iverson have the makeup to be the team
leader? Can he adjust to point guard? Can the Sixers contend for a
championship centered around a 6-foot, 165-pound player, whose 29-year-old
body has taken more than its share of bumps and bruises in eight previous
NBA seasons?

跟過去幾位教練相處不甚愉快的AI，能和O'Brien和平共存嗎？Iverson的個性適合
領導七六人嗎？他能調整打法，勝任控衛嗎？這個6呎165磅、過去八個球季滿身是
傷的29歲球員，真的可以帶領七六人踏上總冠軍之路嗎？



While some questions remain about AI and a young but promising Sixer team,
Iverson's ninth season has proven he has evolved into a more complete
player. While most NBA experts are pointing to Phoenix Suns guard Steve
Nash, Miami Heat center Shaquille O'Neal, San Antonio center Tim Duncan,
Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and Seattle Supersonics guard
Ray Allen as the candidates for the '04-05 Most Valuable Player, there's
a case to be made for Iverson, who won the award in '00-01.

對於AI和本季年輕有潛力的七六人，人們不免仍然抱持一些疑問，但是進入生涯第
九個球季的AI，證明了自己已經成為一個更全面的球員。儘管大部分NBA專家都認
為太陽隊後衛Steve Nash、熱火隊中鋒Shaqille O'Neal、馬刺隊Tim Duncan、小
牛隊前鋒Dirk Nowitzki和超音速後衛Ray Allen才有資格角逐'04-'05球季的MVP，
在'00-'01球季榮獲該獎項的Iverson絕非不合理的人選。



"I've been watching him on TV for years before I came here this year, and,
let me tell you, it's a whole lot different in person," says Sixers rookie
Andre Iquodala. "He's incredible. To see what he does night-in and night-out,
going around bigger players, getting the ball over the rim, playing with
great heart. He gets beat up and keeps coming back.

「我到這裡打球之前已經在電視上看他好多年了。我跟你說，看到本人又完全不一
樣。」七六人新秀Andre Inguodala說：「他真的是不可思議。每天晚上我都看到他
在更高大的球員旁邊殺進殺出，把球放進籃框；滿滿的鬥志。他總是打死不退，天天
如此。」



"I've never seen anyone as tough as he is. Most players would be out for
many games with the types of injuries he's had. Allen refuses to sit. He's
so tough. I've learned so much by playing with him."

「我從沒看過像Allen一樣頑強的人。大部分的球員如果身上的傷跟他一樣嚴重，一
定會休息好幾天。Allen不願意下場；他太頑強了。跟他一起打球我學到很多。」
