Though Webber has had some knee and shoulder injuries, he's shown flashes of
brilliance. In Philadelphia's 103-101 win over the Toronto Raptors on March
25th, both Iverson and Webber scored more than 30 points. It was the first
time two Sixers had done that since Iverson and Robinson accomplished the
feat at Dallas on January 14, 2004.

雖然Webber的膝蓋和肩膀均有舊傷，其才華依然不時展露鋒芒。3月25日費城以103-101
戰勝多倫多暴龍隊的賽事中，Iverson和Webber雙雙繳出30分以上的成績。上一次兩位
七六人隊員同時得分超過30分，已經是2004年1月14日了；當時Iverson和Robinson在
達拉斯客場達成這項紀錄。



"The night that I got the call, I was just so happy," Iverson said of the
trade for Webber. "It was like, finally, after all the hardships that I've
been through since I've been here, and trying to win, and going to the
Finals, and going to the playoffs every year, and just trying to get over
the hump.

「接到電話的那天晚上，我真的很高興。」Iverson談到Webber的交易時這麼說：「我
覺得，來這裡之後經過了這麼多困難；努力贏球，打總冠軍賽，每年每年進季後賽，
等等等等，只是為了要跨過那個障礙，而現在，好不容易！」



"And then to finally just get a perennial All-Star to play with, it was like
a dream come true. It was something that I've been waiting on all my life.
My friends used to tell me, `Once you get this guy, once you get that guy,
then that will get you over the hump.' And I always felt like I can't
approach it that way. I always have to feel like I'm never going to get that
All-Star player besides me, and if it had to be done with me and the players
that we have, then we'd have to get it done.

「經過了這麼多，終於有這麼一位長期受肯定的全明星級球員，好像是美夢成真一樣
。我幾乎已經等了一輩子。朋友以前跟我講：「只要找這個人來、只要找那個人來，
就可以幫你跨過障礙。」可是我一直都覺得我不能那麼想。我總是覺得，那個全明星
球員永遠不會出現在我身邊，如果這件事只能靠我和現有的球員來完成，那麼，我們
就得自己做到。」



"I always had that mentality, always had that mindset. So now, it's another
adjustment. Now that we do have that player, we have to try to some way get
it done like that and make sure we get everything out of him."

「我一直都是這麼想的、這麼相信的。所以，現在又得再做新的調適。現在他既然真
的來了，我們必須要想個辦法讓他能夠參與、讓他盡量發揮。」



The Sixers won just eight of their 14 games with Webber, but Iverson is
excited about the future.

Webber加入後的十四場比賽中，七六人只贏了八場。不過對於未來，Iverson還是相當
期待。



"I really understand what [people] mean about getting to know each other and
getting to playing with each other. A lot of times, the passes he makes
surprise me. I watched him on TV a lot, [watched him] pass the basketball.
But just playing with him, if you don't have your hands ready, he'll bust
you in the face with the ball. Just him having the ball at the top of the key,
and everybody moving around, and one bad mistake on defense, then we got a
backdoor easy layup.

「大家都說要互相瞭解、熟悉彼此的打法，我完全可以瞭解。很多時候，他傳的球會
嚇我一跳。我常常在電視上看他打球、看他傳球，可是真的跟他一起打，只要你的手
沒準備好，他傳的球就會砸在你臉上。只要他站在圈頂而且大家好好跑位，防守一有
漏洞，就是開後門輕鬆兩分。」



"So he's helping us, not just with scoring the basketball. He's passing the
ball like I've never seen a big man pass it."

「所以他的幫助很大，還不只是得分，我還沒看過這麼會傳球的大個子。」



Critics will say it's an added adjustment to learning to play with Iverson
because he has the ball so much. Webber has dreams of a championship, too,
and although he's not the player he once was, he'll do anything he can to help
achieve that goal.

評論家會說Iverson的持球時間這麼長，隊友要適應他的打法，要花更多的心力。Webber
也懷著總冠軍的夢想，而且雖然他不再是以前的Chris Webber，他願意付出一切來幫忙
達成這個目標。



"I don't need 25-30 points a game," Webber said. "The most important thing is
playing together, knowing where your teammates like the ball and learning a
new system. This has been tough at times leaning a lot of new things at once.
I'm getting more and more comfortable with Allen. It's going to take some
time. It wasn't like it was going to happen overnight.

「我不需要每場拿個25分、30分。」Webber說：「最重要的是把團隊打出來，知道你的
隊友想在哪裡接球，還有學習一套新的系統。有的時候一下要學這麼多很難。我越來越
知道怎麼跟Allen配合了。還需要一些時間，不是說一天兩天就行。」



"We're a very young team, too, and everyone is learning together. I think
Allen is an incredible player. We're going to click. We have at times
already."

「而且，我們這支隊伍還很年輕，彼此都還在學習。我想Allen是個了不起的球員，我
們一定會合作無間的，有好幾次大家已經打出感覺了。」
