Before this season began, O'Brien understood the communication lines had
to be open with Iverson. The Sixers have struggled at times with rotation
problems, injuries and receiving consistant play from their youngters like
athletic swingman Iquodala, outside gunner extraordinaire Kyle Korver,
shotblocker Samuel Dalembert and potent scorer Willie Green, but in the
center of it all, Iverson has had nothing less than an MVP-caliber season,
and kept the Sixers in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

季賽開始之前，O'Brien深知必須與Iverson保持良好的溝通。進入球季後，七六人
不時面臨著輪替問題和傷病隊員的困擾，而活力四射的搖擺人Iguodala、精靈弓箭
手Kyle Korver、火鍋店小開Samuel Dalembert、和得分能手Willie Green等年輕
球員的表現也一直起起伏伏。但身為中流砥柱的Iverson，依然交出了一張MVP等級
的球季成績單，使七六人始終握有東區季後賽的競爭資格。



"There are a lot of great players in this league, but I'm fortunate to be
coaching one every night in Allen," O'Brien said. "He plays every game
like it's his last and likes a challenge."

「聯盟裡的好手很多，但是能夠每晚帶Allen比賽，我覺得很幸運。」O'Brien說：
「他把每場比賽都當最後一場打，而且不怕任何考驗。」



The chaenllge of playing point guard has been daunting at times for Iverson.
While his assists are way up, his turnovers are way up, as well. He
committed a League/season-high 12 turnovers against the Warriors on March 8
and followed that up with an 11-turnover performance against the Bulls on
March 19.

對Iverson來說，控球後衛本身有時就是嚴峻的考驗。個人助攻數字飆高的同時，失
誤次數也節節攀升。三月八日對勇士的比賽中，他整整失誤了12次，既是聯盟也是球
季最高紀錄；不久，三月十九日對公牛之後，他的個人數據裡又多了11次失誤。



On the positive side of the stats ledger, he led the league in scoring,
averaging more than 30 points per game. And AI's creative passing ability
has been put on full display - he's averaging 8 assists per game, good for
fifth in the NBA. To be fair, it's inaccurate to label Iverson a point guard
 - in his own words, he's just a guard. And how many 6-foot, 165-pound guards
can put up huge numbers like that every night?

幸好他的數據表上也有光明的一面。他以每場超過三十分的平均，高居聯盟得分王的
寶座。另外，他創意十足的傳球功力也得到了充分展現的機會--每場八次助攻，排名
全聯盟第五。憑良心說，叫Iverson控球後衛並不準確--依照他的講法，他的位置就只
是後衛。那麼，有多少身高六呎、體重165磅的後衛，可以每天晚上交出像他一樣漂亮
的數字呢？
