http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/y/young_neil/are-you-passionate.shtml rating 7.5 No matter who you are, you have to admit that Neil Young is still really fucking cool. While the other undeceased sixties rockers are busy scoring Disney flicks and inseminating lesbian icons, he remains musically relevant. What all this adds up to is a high point of Young's recent studio history. Sure, it's nowhere near his incredible run of the seventies, but it is probably his best album since 1992's Harvest Moon. Neil's soul party may have been crashed by a sudden taste for patriotism (which explains, but doesn't excuse, the absolutely hideous album cover) but the ensuing between-theme tension saves Are You Passionate? from becoming a one-dimensional experiment, and transforms it into a complex and enjoyable album. And in the wake of 9/11, isn't that all this country really wants? ※ 引述《krama (失戀太少)》之銘言: : http://www.buzztone.com/neilyoung/splash.asp -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.18.114
