“I guess it’s like a very point guard heavy field,” Lin said. “Hopefully,
I like to say I can dribble a little bit and pass a little bit and shoot a
little bit, make a couple layups. Hopefully, I’ll do OK.”
林：「我想應該都是後衛參加吧。」「我會說，我稍微會運一點球、傳一點球、投一點籃
，上一點籃，希望到時表現得還可以。
The skills challenge, started in 2003, has players compete in a timed
obstacle course where they must dribble, pass and shoot. The top scorer from
each conference after two rounds will compete for the title.
技巧大賽從2003年開始，選手要超越障礙運球、傳球和投籃。兩輪後東西區分數最高者
爭冠。
While Lin was selected for the Skills competition, James Harden will play in
the Shooting Stars event on a team with former Rockets star Sam Cassell and
former Comets star Tina Thompson.
週六除了林，還有鬍子參加投籃明星賽。
With Chandler Parsons in the Rising Stars game on Friday, the Rockets will be
represented on each day of the weekend at Toyota Center. Parsons was “drafted
” by Team Shaq with the sixth pick as TNT announcers and former All-Stars
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley picked teams from a pool of first- and
second-year players.

“It’s good,” Lin said. “It’s definitely a tremendous opportunity. It’s
a chance to go out there and have some fun. It will be cool because we’re
the host city and the host team.

“To be honest, it’s not that high up when I think of basketball as a whole
my accomplishments. It’s something I’ll remember. It’s always different.
The stuff you remember is usually what you do with the team and games you win
with the team. Having said that, it’s definitely an honor, definitely an
experience and I’m excited about it for sure.
「老實說，我沒有將它視為個人太大的籃球成就。但這是個特別而難忘的經驗。
通常會記得的是和隊友共同努力的經過，是團隊合作贏得的比賽。盡管如此，
我仍然覺得這絕對是份榮耀，是個難得的經驗，我還是非常興奮能參加。」
“(Representing Houston) is awesome. To come here in my first year and have
the All Star weekend here which is the biggest event of the year. Everybody
is in town. For us to play host, but that is a tremendous opportunity. Some
players never, ever have that opportunity in their entire career. For me to
be able to have that this time around is awesome. I’m going to try to soak
it all in and enjoy the entire experience.”
「（能代表火箭隊）真的很棒。來到這裡第一年就遇到我們主辦明星週，大家都來作客
休士頓，真的非常難得，有些人一輩子都沒有這個機會。對我個人來說，這次能
參賽也很令人興奮。我會全心投入，盡情享受這次經驗。」
