Knicks Will Meet Lin but Aren’t in Mood to Discuss Him

DALLAS — In the locker room Wednesday night, after the Knicks came up a
little short against the Dallas Mavericks, there were a couple of questions
about what went wrong in the game’s final moments and many questions about
Jeremy Lin, whom the Knicks will face on Friday night in Houston.

The loss against Dallas stung, but just a little. The reunion with Lin is
intriguing, a whole lot.

As Knicks players showered and dressed and prepared for a Thanksgiving
holiday in Houston — some will celebrate at Marcus Camby’s home there —
 they were asked about what it would feel like to meet up with Lin, who came
out of nowhere last season to revive the Knicks.

Lin became a — take your pick — local/national/global phenomenon. He saw
his chief advocate, Coach Mike D’Antoni, depart while the season was still
going. And he injured a knee and sat out as the Knicks were given a
first-round postseason stomping by the league’s eventual champions, the
Miami Heat.

Then, against all expectations, the Knicks proceeded to let Lin go in the
off-season, declining to match the lucrative free-agent offer from the
Houston Rockets.

So Lin is a Rocket, and 12 games into the 2012-13 season, he is doing fine,
but not great. His team is 5-7 after a solid 93-89 victory over Chicago on
Wednesday night.

But Lin, a point guard, did not have a particularly good game against the
Bulls — 26 minutes, 4 points on 2-for-9 shooting, 3 assists, 5 turnovers —

remains an alarmingly low 33.3.

Raymond Felton, the player who essentially replaced Lin in the Knicks’
 backcourt, is thriving. His team is 8-2, and even in the loss Wednesday,
Felton put up more than solid statistics — 11 assists and 18 points in 39
minutes on the court.

For the season, Felton’s per-game averages for minutes played, assists,
turnovers and steals are not much different from Lin’s. But his shooting
percentage of 43.8 is far better, as is his points average of 15.7.

來的好，有43.8%，而且他的場均得分也有較高的15.7分

Felton is 28, four years older than Lin, but more significantly has a greater
body of work in the N.B.A. In his eighth season, he has played in 544
regular-season games to Lin’s 76, and he took note of that disparity when he
was asked about Lin on Wednesday night.
肥耳魨大林書豪四歲，但他的身體素質明顯的較林書豪來的好；肥耳魨已經在ＮＢＡ打
過544場季賽，林書豪則僅有76場 ，昨晚被問到他跟林書豪有何不同時，他說....

“I don’t see how anybody can compare us,” he said. “I’ve been in this
league much longer. He had a great run last year, one of the best I’ve ever
seen. I’m glad he got his money. But to compare me and him is wrong.”
我不知道其他人要怎麼比較我們，我在ＮＢＡ走跳比較久耶～　去年林來瘋真的很棒，
是我看過最棒的之一！　林書豪的那張US$2500萬合約我很替他高興， 但把我們倆放在
一起做比較是不對的喔～

To drive home the point, Felton said he could “care less” about how Lin was
playing in Houston. “I don’t even follow what he does,” he said.

More diplomatic was Carmelo Anthony, who may or may not have appreciated all
the adulation Lin created for himself last season, some of it probably at
Anthony’s expense, and who may be motivated to have a lights-out performance
on Friday night in Houston.
更令人關注的是甜瓜，上一季林書豪替他帶來的奉承不曉得他有沒有感激過，這些奉承

But on Wednesday night, he was careful to say all the right things about his
former teammate. “I’m pretty sure he’s happy and content with where he’s
at,” he said of Lin’s new address. “We’re happy here and we’re winning.”

“It was crazy and I was a part of it,” Anthony added, and noted that he had
talked with Felton, who played in Portland last season, on just what the
phenomenon known as Linsanity was like to experience firsthand. But he added,
“We’ve moved on.”
甜瓜又說林來瘋太令人痴狂而我居然也是其中的一部份！阿瓜也跟肥耳魨聊過這經驗，
但最後甜瓜說：我們已經往前進了！

Anthony was injured and out of the lineup for part of Lin’s run with the
Knicks, but center Tyson Chandler wasn’t. Asked about Lin on Wednesday
night, Chandler said he wasn’t disappointed that Lin was gone.

“I thought he made a great decision for himself, his family and his
basketball career,” Chandler said. “I thought the Knicks made the right
decision. At the end of the day, it worked out for both parties.”

J. R. Smith, who joined the Knicks when Linsanity was at its height, was as
blunt as Felton as he looked ahead to Friday night. “I don’t really care
about Jeremy’s situation,” he said. “He doesn’t wear the Knicks uniform
anymore.
在林來瘋高點時加入尼克的ＪＲ，也跟肥耳魨一樣率直，他說他不在乎林書豪現在是怎

“We have all the pieces we need. I love my team and the people we have
around us.”
