In this portion of our Beyond Linsanity series, Jeremy Lin talks about his joys
of Houston, meeting Wat Misaka, and handling his position as a role model.

在這個部分的系列訪談，啾咪林暢談了他在休士頓的快樂時光、與三阪亙碰面、
(按:三阪亙生於美國猶他州奧格登，為日裔美國人，是第一位進入NBA的非白人球員與
    首位亞裔球員)

This was Lin's first year in Houston, so it was a year full of exploration and
discovery as he got acquainted with the city.

"It's just huge," Lin said. "It's just so spread out. There are suburbs
everywhere. And there's something to do in every little pocket.

"I would say the biggest thing is knowing where to eat," he added. "I've got a
lot of different places now where I realize, 'Oh, there's some good food here,
there's some good food there. I could go here. I could go there.'"

這是林在休士頓的第一年，從熟悉這座城市開始，這一年裡，充滿著探索及發現

林說 "這裡是座大城市，地緣廣闊，還有許多住宅區，在這裡，你總可以找到事情做"
"要我說的話，最重要的事，當然還是找到哪裡有好吃的，我現在已經找到了不少地方，
 之所以找到那些地方，都是因為那裏有不錯的食物(吃貨認證!!!)" 林補充道

It was an eventful season for Lin, one that included a documentary on his
story, "Linsanity," getting play at Sundance. It's not exactly every day a NBA
player has a documentary made on him while he's still active.

"I didn't get a chance to enjoy it as much just because it was in the middle of
the season," Lin said. "When it comes out and comes out full, and everything
gets done, and it's out and open to the public, I think that'll be kind of
crazy. It definitely was an idea that took years for me to warm up to to be
able to share my story with the rest of the world. But I'm just excited. It's
my story through my own eyes."

 這個構想對我而言，需要花一些時間去說服自己，畢竟這可是要將我的故事跟全世界分享
 但完成後我感到非常的興奮，因為那是透過我的角度所訴說的故事"

The documentary was made with all the fervor surrounding Linsanity just a
season earlier. The hype over what happened in New York thrust Lin into a
role-model position like never before.

"It's different," Lin said. "But the one thing I'll say is that I really have
the best fans. Like, I have the most passionate and enthusiastic and die-hard
fans. I'm so thankful for that. I think every month, every year that goes by, I
learn to appreciate it more and more. And for me, I'm just trying to be myself.
I'm going to make mistakes. I'm going to lose my cool at times or whatever, but
for me, it's just a matter of being who I am and hopefully, that'll be enough
to hopefully be able to be a role model for other people."

這個紀錄片，主要記錄著林來瘋降臨紐約的熱血事蹟，那段時間，媒體大肆的宣傳
讓林書豪一夕之間成了注目的焦點，以及眾人的榜樣，這是以往從未有過的經驗

"那的確是讓我的生活起了變化" 林說 "但要我說的話，就是我多了一群超棒的粉絲
 一群熱情、熱衷、打死不退的粉絲，我非常感謝有這群人的支持"
"隨著時間的流逝，我越來越懂得感激，對我來說，我只是試著繼續做我自己
 有時候我可能會犯錯、也會在某些時候失去冷靜，但，做自己，才是最重要的
 希望能在保有自我的同時，仍然足以成為大家的榜樣"

Lin himself has role models. One such example is Wat Misaka, the first Asian
American to play in the NBA. During the 2013 season, Lin had the opportunity to
meet Misaka on January 28 before the Rockets took on the Jazz in Salt Lake City.

"We always have to give credit where credit is due and appreciate people who
came before us," Lin said. "Because people like him, he gave people like me a
chance. People talk about how I've been a trailblazer or whatever I may do to
help the future or whatever. But he was the one who came first, so for me to be
able to meet him was a tremendous, tremendous honor."

林自己也有崇拜的對象，其中之一就是三阪亙，第一個打NBA的亞裔美國人
在2013年球季中，林有幸在1月28日客場征戰鹽湖城的比賽前與他碰上了一面

"我們永遠要讚賞並且感激前人走過的路，因為有他這樣的前例，
 才給了像我這樣的球員一個機會，人們常說，我像是一個開拓者，我可能無形中幫助了
 一些像我一樣的未來之星，但事實上他才是先鋒，所以能與他見面，是莫大的榮耀"
