Mutu set for Juve loan move

Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu is poised to join Italian club Juventus
on a one-year loan deal to improve his chances of regular first-team
football.

"Mutu left London on Thursday for Italy and he'll sign a deal with
Juventus on Friday," his agent Gica Popescu said.

And the deal could be extended if both clubs reach an agreement.

The Romanian feared he could struggle to make Chelsea boss Jose
Mourinho's starting line-up after the arrival of Mateja Kezman and
Didier Drogba.

Mutu joined Stamford Bridge from Parma for ￡15.8m last August but
has been hit by niggling injuries and a lack of form.

The 25-year-old Romanian international has scored 11 goals in 30
starts for Chelsea.
