Juventus have told Mauro Camoranesi that he can find himself a new club
after he failed to turn up for pre-season training.
The Italian champions started their new campaign today but the
Argentine-born ace was nowhere to be seen.
"With regards to absences, there are some that are justified and others
that are not," explained director general Luciano Moggi.
"Those that have authorisation to not be here are Lilian Thuram and
Stephen Appiah who will join up with us at a later date.
"However, Camoranesi’s absence is not justified. We need to teach him
how to act in other people’s houses. We dictate the rules.
"We want footballers but also men. If things continue like this then he
is free to find himself a new club."
The Italian giants are finding his behaviour hard to comprehend after
lengthy talks this summer to complete his signing.
The Italian international was desperate to finalise his move from
Verona and Juve satisfied his request.
Turning to the new season, Moggi was remaining optimistic. "We’ll
soon be off to the United States for our tour and we will be as
competitive as usual.
"We’ve decided to strengthen our squad in a bid to give ourselves
more options and we’ve done that by buying players with quality."
Moggi also revealed what the new season would hold for midfielders
Davide Baiocco and Ruben Olivera.
"There are a number of talks in place for Baiocco, the most advanced
with Reggina," he added. "As for Olivera, he will join Empoli."
