Pierluigi Collina has been picked to take charge of Sunday’s big game,
but the Bianconeri are not best pleased.

The draw for the Week 20 fixtures has handed Collina one of the fieriest
encounters in the Serie A calendar.

“We are happy with this draw,” commented refereeing designator Pierluigi
Pairetto, “as he has not been given a big match for too long now. He is
the World’s number one referee and it is right that he should be in charge
of such a high-profile fixture.”

However, Collina’s record with Juventus is a worrying aspect for Marcello
Lippi’s men going into this clash.

The Turin outfit has not won a single League game with Collina in charge
since 10 Dec 2000 and effectively asked not to be refereed by him after
losing the Scudetto at Perugia.

Director General Luciano Moggi has ordered a press silence ahead of this
match and only Marcello Lippi will speak with journalists in a press
conference.

This will be the third time that Collina has officiated over a meeting
between these two teams.

In 1995-96 he oversaw both their ties, a 2-0 win for Roma in Turin and
2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

Leaders Milan, at the centre of refereeing controversy after a handling
offence was overlooked in last week’s 2-0 win at Bologna, will face
Perugia under the guidance of Trefoloni.
