Lippi: "In Perugia to re-start"
/21 12 2002
Also this 2002 is ending. On Sunday afternoon (at 15,
Curi stadium), bianconeri will play in Perugia for the
last match of a year that will be remembered as the one
of the Scudetto n°26.
Italian Champions are ready for one of the most dangerous
away matches and are sure to be able to do well, to spend
a good Christmas and leave a not excellent moment behind:
“We did really the best till 15 days ago–Marcello Lippi
said-After that we have not done the same.
In a season which is 10 months long, it may happen to find
ourselves in positive and negative moments. We'll go on and
try to re-start”.
The year will finish then against Serse Cosmi's Perugia,
a team that, especially in the home matches, is a very
dangerous opponent and Marcello Lippi knows this well:
“They're alive and clever opponents, with good skill, quick
in the forwards, Miccoli and Caracciolo. And they can count
also on Ze Maria and Milanese's experience. Which kind of
match do I expect? A match different from the last ones”.
In the away journey to Umbria, the coach from Viareggio can
count on another “weapon”, David Trezeguet, ready for the
comeback after a good perfomance against Basel.
But for a returning Trezeguet, there are other problems
coming out: “I'm disappointed because we'll be without some
players. We'll go to Perugia with 19 players while Tudor,
Iuliano, Tacchinardi, Iuliano e Fresi will remain in Turin
and Olivera has already left for Uruguay”.
