Trezeguet: "I fell good and I'm happy"

Nearly an hour last week against Reggina. More than one
hour and one goal against Basilea. Step by step David
Trezeguet is coming back. The injury is now a little bit
more left behind and the French striker can start smiling.
“I feel really well, just a bit tired but it's normal.
The knee is allright and today it worked well. I'm really
happy because I was back after a long time injury and the
team won, playing well. My goal? It was the most satisfying
thing. It was from the match in udine, on the 5th of May,
that I haven't scored a goal, not even at the World Cup,
and after that I had this problem at my knee. It's always
important to score again”.
And against Basel, Trezeguet was also a starter:“The coach
told me this morning that I was going to play as a starter–
David revealed–He told me that he had seen me in a good
condition and he wanted to make play right from the start.
I wanted to do well and I felt good”.
And on Sunday there will be Lazio: will David have another
chance? Trezegol is not sure about it: “We'll see in the
next days with the Mister and the medical staff. I confirm
that my knee is allright and it's not bothering me anymore.
But this was my first serious injury and I haven't got much
experience in that field. If there's a chance for playing,
I hope to be selected”.
In the meanwhile it came this victory over Basel in the last
match before the Champions Lague's pause.
A bit of a rest? “I know I've got to work a lot, especially
under the athletic point of view–Trezeguet said–I'm at 60%
and so I'll work also during the Christmas holidays. If I
won't have any problem with my knee, I can be back at the
top of the condition, like the rest of the team. I've seen
that the team is playing well during these weeks, better
than the last year. Let's hope that from tonight everything
can go even better”.
