Chan has a brand new Kit bag
LOLA
Kit Chan
What's Music
WHEN a singer has released a best-of collection, it signifies a
milestone of sorts (other than the commercial end of bolstering her
coffers).
After getting that album out of the way, it seems that Kit Chan has
gone bolder in experimenting more with her music. Not since
Cornered has she laid out such a kaleidoscopic feast of songs.
She had stuck to mainly mainstream fare after lukewarm response to
the 1995 effort.
But thankfully, she has not given up exploring further. You will have a
field time savouring the diverse spread she has served up here: the
exuberant, self-penned I Have Finally Forgotten About Your
Birthday; the meditative Appear; the hard-jibing You Cool; the
pensive Full Dance.
If you think that by owning the compilation album, you would have
already heard the best from Chan, don't bet your money on it.
She is only starting to sound better and better. If Lola is a sign of
things to come, then be prepared to fork out for her future records
