Today I realise I'm a woman
Standing alone, naked in the wind
No more excuses about growing pains
Nothing to lean on,
I'm free-falling.
The freedom I've always wanted
The power I had craved
Why do I feel it like a ton of lead?
Where's the instinct that I'm denied?
I'm a woman
No longer a child
Guess I mossed the treshold
Oh, how I miss My mother's arms.
Now I savour life's delights
Like a greedy child
I have to fight to keep my innocence
Remembering the words that touched
Me in youth:
Stay gold.
So I have to learn to live
With strangers, some of whom
I've grown to love. Play different
Games with different toys.
It's gonna be ok.
