Interviewer: I hear that the young Yehenara will be played by local
songbird, Kit Chan?
Dick Lee: Yes. Kit had her public stage debut with SRT in Sondheim's
Into the Woods and I worked with her on Snow.Wolf.Lake, Jackie
Cheung's successful Hong Kong musical. She has great talent and
charisma. I always thought she would make a perfect young Yehenara.
Then one day, we met at the airport, and she said she wanted to do a
musical and I said "well [miming outstretched hands], guess what?"
And then everything fell into place!
