這個非公開的活動將在David Gest的紐約家中,日期是八月16日,現場將有Trisha
Yearwood,Monica,Diahann Carroll,The Four Tops,Ann Blyth,Andy Blakenbuehler
,Heather Headley,Jason Raize,Ramsey Lewis,Edwin McCain,Brian Stokes
Mitchell,Stefanie Powers,以及天后Whitney Houston.現場還有其他的特別佳賓.
在活動中,Diane Warren將獲頒Millennium Visionary Award,以表揚他在歌
曲創作上的卓越成就
這個慈善餐會將群聚娛樂界以及商業界的名人,目的是為了籌措幫助受難兒
童的基金,以及有關推動藝術創作的款項. 所有收入將會交給Whitney Houston
Foundation for Children 以及the Actors' Fund of America.
The American Cinema Awards基金會是在15年前由MJ以及David Gest所創立,
它已經幫the Motion Picture and TV Fund以及the Actors' Fund of America
籌措了數百萬捐款.而它也在全美的各大學提供了許多的獎學金.
