10/08/99 : Michael Jackson and Wife Debbie File For Divorce -
MJIFC has confirmed that Michael and his wife, Debbie Rowe Jackson,
have mutually agreed to end their marriage. Their spokesman, New
York publicist Howard Rubenstein, said in a statement that the
divorce documents were were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court
today.
Michael and Debbie were married in Sydney, Australia, on November
14, 1996. They have two children together, Prince Michael Jr. and
Paris Michael Katherine.
Their publicist also said in the statement that "Michael and
Debbie remain friends and they ask that the public respect
their desire not to further comment or speculate upon the reasons
for their decision."
