LOS ANGELES – The hoopla of 20-5-5 meant little Tuesday night in Staples
Center.

Because in a moment, Tyreke Evans' rookie season ended with referee Derek
Richardson sending Evans to the locker room early.

Rookies usually don't get leeway from officials. And apparently being
arguably the best rookie in your class doesn't matter.

Evans was ejected after being assessed two technical fouls by Richardson with
8:04 left in the third quarter after making a layup.

Afterward, Evans said he'd grown frustrated with contact the officials
weren't recognizing.


事後  ,TE說裁判都不聽他的溝通

"I came down and thought I got fouled three times straight, and he kept
saying there wasn't contact," Evans. "The last time, I made it known, and I
said some words, and that was it."

Evans said it was the first ejection in his basketball career and hoped it
was the last time he'd be sent to the locker room early.

Evans isn't the first player to let an official know he didn't like a call,
but the ejection came quickly.

It's not as if Evans is known as a hothead. He had been assessed three
technical fouls all season before being ejected.

"I thought he could have got by with one technical and the world would keep
spinning just fine," Kings coach Paul Westphal said.

The ejection allowed Evans to get a head start on his offseason which will
begin today with an ESPN photo shoot here before he returns to Sacramento to
go over the season with the coaching staff – a season he hopes was enough to
win him Rookie of the Year.

Without Evans, the Kings saw the Lakers go on a 19-7 run to close the third
quarter and lead 86-73 heading into the fourth quarter.

But the Kings, as they've done a lot this season, hung around and made it a
game late.

Beno Udrih's three made it 104-100 with 1:15 left. After a Lakers turnover
the Kings had the ball down by four with 58.4 seconds left in the game.

But the Kings couldn't convert when Jason Thompson threw up an air ball from
behind the three-point line while under duress from the Lakers' defense.

Shannon Brown, who started for injured star Kobe Bryant, sank a jumper on the
ensuing possession to secure the win for the Lakers.

The Lakers were also without Andrew Bynum and lost backup guard Jordan Farmar
to a hamstring injury in the first half.

The Kings played shorthanded in the backcourt, too. Evans played just 12
minutes in the first half because of three fouls.

That meant Beno Udrih would get little rest. He played 45 minutes, scored 21
points and a game-high 11 assists.

their progress. Their 25-57 mark is an eight-game improvement from last
year's league-worst 17-65.

The team made strides in rebounding and defense after being near the bottom
of the NBA in both categories last season.

Lakers All-Star Pau Gasol led all scorers with 28 points. Brown scored 24
points.

Jason Thompson scored 19 points and had a game-high 16 rebounds. Francisco
García scored 15 points off the bench for the Kings.

但是JT有大進步

他拿到了16reb, 19pt
