[外電] Kings notes: Rookie Greene may get more minutes

Donté Greene still hopes to end his rookie campaign on a positive note. He's
still searching for his role, still holding out hope for more minutes.

And Monday, it sounded as if room in the Kings' rotation opened. Coach Kenny
Natt used practice to concentrate on using Greene at power forward, a
position the rookie played during his one season at Syracuse.

Greene has primarily played small forward with the Kings this season,
averaging 12.1 minutes in 36 games.

"Hopefully, he can give us some more time (at power forward) as he gets more
comfortable," Natt said.

Minutes opened at power forward when the Kings waived Drew Gooden late Sunday.

"With Drew and other guys here and rotating (Andres) Nocioni in there, it
didn't create opportunity for him," Natt said.
「當有Gooden和Noci在，不會有他的位置」Natt說。

Natt said he likes that Greene can take most power forwards off the dribble
and that his outside shooting stretches defenses. Natt said he has noticed
Greene has matured this season, but there still are things he wants him to
work on.
Natt說他喜歡Greene打PF而不用運球，他的外線可以拉開防守。Natt還說他注意到Greene
本季已經成熟(可以摘了？)，但仍然有很多東西希望他學。

"He's never lacked confidence in his shooting ability, but he has to learn
there are four other guys out there with him," Natt said. "What we need out
of him is to pass the basketball and be a threat putting the basketball on
the floor and not just settling for three-point shots all the time."
「他一向對他的投射很有信心，但他必須學著還有四個人跟他一起作戰，我們需要他的是

Greene said he's willing to do whatever is needed to earn more time on the
floor.
Greene說只要能夠上場，他願意做任何事。

"I'm ready for it," Greene said. "I've been in the weight room all season.
I'm going to try to go out there and try to play hard. … I'm just trying to
find a role and somewhere to fit in. Hopefully, we can get that out of the
way before the summer."
「我準備好了，我整季都一直待在重訓室，我試著要上場而且努力地打。我就只是要試著
找到適合我的角色。希望我們可以在夏天前找到」。

Udrih out – The Kings tonight will be without point guard Beno Udrih, who
continues to nurse a sprained right foot he suffered early in Wednesday's
loss to the Charlotte Bobcats.
Beno還是沒有要上場。

Udrih did not practice Monday, instead icing his foot. Veteran Bobby Jackson
will continue to replace Udrih in the starting lineup. Jackson, who is among
those eagerly awaiting Udrih's return, has played 31 and 37 minutes in the
last two games.
Beno禮拜一並沒有參加練習。Bobby還是先發PG，他是希望Beno趕快回來的其中之一，過去
兩場他分別打了31和37分鐘(是要操死老人就是了....不過今年薪水還滿高，值得啦)。

"I can't wait for Beno to get back, but whatever they want me to do, I will
do it," Jackson said.
「我等不下去了，但無論他們要我做什麼，我都會去做」

Gooden gone – Natt had hoped Gooden's addition would help the Kings win down
the stretch, but he said he understood why it made sense to waive the forward.
Natt過去一直希望Gooden會有所幫助，但他說他了解為什麼要揮棄他。

"Drew was a very big piece in regards to being more competitive," Natt said.
"Drew has that experience and that ability to score inside and rebound. The
decision that was made was obviously a good decision with where we are going
for the team. We are moving on."

Gooden, who agreed to a buyout Sunday evening, was acquired Feb. 18 in a
six-player trade with Chicago. Sunday's move is believed to have saved the
Kings $2 million while freeing Gooden to join a playoff contender.
Gooden同意買斷，省了2M。也讓他可以去參加奪冠熱門球隊。
