The defense wasn't the problem for the Kings on Tuesday night.

Nor was the toughness or the chemistry or any of the other weaknesses that
have troubled them all season long.

It was the offense. In a 99-98 loss to Oklahoma City at Arco Arena, the Kings
did everything but score well in the final quarter. They managed just six
points in the final four minutes, 56 seconds of play, hitting just 2 of 10
shots in that stretch while leading scorer Kevin Martin spent the entire time
on the bench.

The Kings shooting guard headed for the bench with 2:55 in the third quarter
and did not return. The decision was not related to his health, as the team
said he was not injured after scoring 12 points in the first three quarters.
他第三節就到板凳去待著，而且一去不復返。不是因為他的健康。

After a Russell Westbrook 21-footer gave him 22 points and put the Thunder up
97-92 with 38 seconds left, Thabo Sefolosha hit two free throws with three
seconds left to seemingly seal the win. But a Francisco Garcia three-pointer
with 34 seconds left cut the lead to 97-95, and a Rashad McCants three with
one second left made it 99-98 before the Kings simply ran out of time.
Despite forcing a turnover on the Thunder inbounds pass that came with one
second left, they received the ball with one-tenth of a second remaining and
couldn't convert a desperation heave from Garcia to Andres Nocioni at the
buzzer.

When the Kings downed Denver on Sunday, much of the reason for the rare win
was their ability to limit turnovers. This one, however, was a different
story. The Kings gave up seven of their 22 turnovers in a sloppy third
quarter in which they trailed Oklahoma City 84-76. It didn't help matters
that Martin went quiet, as the Kings shooting guard (12 points) was scoreless
in the third and missed all three of his shots.

Oklahoma City, which had won four of its last five games while playing the
entire stretch without Kevin Durant, was without their leading scorer once
again. After downing Denver on Sunday, the Kings were attempting to win back
to back games for the first time since Nov. 7 and Nov. 9.
雷霆最近五場贏了四場(YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)，而且還少了個Durant(AI? T-mac?)。
自從11月初後，國王第一次有機會二連勝(又搞砸了....)
