Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie was the one wheeling and dealing in
recent days, pulling off four trades that changed nearly half the roster and
made his organization the league's most active before the trade deadline.

But before the Kings faced Memphis at FedEx Forum on Friday night, the
players were the ones looking for help on the floor. With none of the seven
new players having yet joined the team and the Kings down to eight players,
there were jokes that retired forward and assistant coach Shareef Abdur-Rahim
needed to suit up. If not him, they said in jest, then perhaps former Chicago
guard and three-time NBA champion Randy Brown.

the best plan of all in a 115-106 win.

center Spencer Hawes said. "We just came out and played with that mentality

percent. And for the duration (of the game). Not for 24 minutes or 36
minutes, but for 48 minutes."

If only for a night – although they hope that's not the case – the Kings
played hard and free in ways rarely seen this season. They had fire and fun,
too, simple concepts that haven't been a part of a season in which their 12th
win came in late February.

After trailing by 11 points early in the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies cut
the lead to three with 1:35 remaining when O.J. Mayo pickpocketed Jackson on
an inbound pass and dunked to make it 102-99. Yet after Kings interim coach
Kenny Natt yelled for a timeout that never transpired, Francisco García
buried a three-pointer from the right wing to extend the lead to six. After a
Mayo turnover, Kings point guard Beno Udrih came off a screen for a 14-footer
from the left elbow with 44 seconds left that created enough cushion.

It didn't hurt that the Grizzlies were off-target nearly all night, hitting
38.3 percent from the floor while their core of Rudy Gay, Mayo and Mike
Conley were a combined 16 of 53.

Kevin Martin led all scorers with 33 points, missing his Sacramento-era
record for free throws made without a miss in going 15 of 15. He added five
rebounds and four assists.

"It was wonderful as a coach to see the guys play as hard as they did and to
come out under these circumstances," Natt said. "Even though we were

The roster shortage meant it was an all-hands-on-deck approach. Rookie Donté
Greene made the most of rare playing time (11 points, four rebounds, four
blocks in 18 minutes). Greene cut Memphis' lead to one with a three-pointer
at the first-quarter buzzer, then ended his third quarter by catching a
missed García jumper off the rim and finishing with a one-handed slam that
put the Kings up 81-76 with five seconds left.
人員短缺就代表著要全員出動。Greene用最少的時間打出最好的成績(18分鐘內就11分，
4籃板，4個麻辣火鍋)。Greene在第一節的Buzzer beater使得灰熊的領先只剩1分，然後

"I'm just trying to fit in where I can and show coach that I can go out there
and ball, (and) I did that tonight," he said. "I had fun, and we'll see what
happens when all the guys come to Dallas."

Hawes, who continues in the starting role with Brad Miller's departure to
Chicago, hit 5 of 6 shots and had five rebounds in 23 minutes. García
finished with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

、2火鍋(也太全面了吧!!!!!!!!!)
"From all the (trades) that have happened, that (group of players is) kind of
our core with a couple of additions for the future, so it was good to see
that that chemistry is getting worked out and that we're having fun doing
it," Hawes said.
「自從所有交易發生後，原本的核心又加入了生力軍，所以很開心看到有了化學作用，很
開心」Hawes說
