Maurice Taylor didn't know how close to the boiling point he was, but the fact
that he was wondering is telling.

For five consecutive games, Taylor, who was signed before training camp to back
up center Brad Miller, didn't play. On its own, Taylor said, watching courtside
wasn't the hoped-for role, but even more so when the player you supposedly
would play behind watched nearby.

連續五場比賽，Taylor這位在訓練營中被簽下來當中鋒Brad Miller替補的球員，都沒有出
賽。Taylor認為在場邊看球並不會對球隊有所幫助，而當你想要替補的球員也陪你一同看
球時更是無力。

"I thought I would be playing backup minutes behind Brad," Taylor said Monday.
"That was my idea when I came in. That's what was said. But Brad's out, so I
really don't know. The only thing I can do is work and continue to have good
practices."

「我以為我會補上Brad不在場上的時間。」Taylor說：「這是我在進入球隊時的想法，而
大家也這麼認為。但現在Brad不在場上，我卻沒有出賽。我真的不知道我何時能上場，我

He did both, of course. And Wednesday night at Arco Arena, Taylor got the call
from coach Eric Musselman. He entered play against Utah early in the second
quarter, then spent the next six minutes helping the Kings maintain a
double-digit lead.

而他現在兩樣都做到了。星期三晚上在Arco Arena，Taylor被教練Eric Musselman叫上場
。他在第二節上場六分鐘，和其他人一起對上爵士隊，而且幫助國王維持兩位數的領先。

Taylor, for the record, admits his transgressions. He came into camp too heavy
but said he has since lost 15 or 20 pounds. And there was the team-mandated
conditioning test, which Taylor finally passed a little less than two weeks
ago.

Taylor承認他一度超重。在訓練營時他過重，但他說現在他已減輕了15~20磅。而在兩個星
期前隊上明定的標準測試中，Taylor總算以比標準輕一點點的體重過關。

"I feel like I'm in better shape than I was last year and the year before,"
Taylor said. "I'm still lifting probably in the top three (on the team). ... I
feel strong. I think it's evident in the practices I'm having that I'm moving."

Although the nine-year veteran was known in his earlier days for his scoring,
Taylor said he can help with the team's new defensive approach.

雖然大家都說這名九年老將的長處是得分，但Taylor說他也可以幫助隊上的防守。

"I think I'm more of a position defender than a shot blocker," Taylor said.
"But if you talk to any coaches who had me, they'd say I'm a good defender.
Most of the teams that I played for the last three years, I led the team in
charges because I'm a pretty good help-side defender."

「我認為我是比較偏向站位防守的打法（相對於投籃封阻）。」Taylor說：「如果你向每
個教過我的教練詢問，他們都會說我是個好防守者。在我這三年打過的球隊裡，我總是製

Salmons returns -- He didn't look quite as smooth as his normal self, but Kings
swingman John Salmons played for the first time since missing three games with
a right thigh contusion.

Salmons回來了，雖然看來還沒完全恢復，但這位國王的鋒衛搖擺人在因右大腿挫傷而缺席
三場後，首度出賽。

Without Salmons, the Kings' defense faltered, giving up an average of 112
points to Memphis, Golden State and San Antonio.

"He (defends) the (point guard, shooting guard, small forward) positions, and
we've had him defend some (power forwards)," Musselman said. "We're glad he's
back with us."

他能回來。」

On the mike -- When Jazz players Ronnie Brewer and Paul Millsap were introduced
before tipoff, Kings public address announcer Scott Moak avoided the sort of
comical mixup that took place Monday night in Utah.

沒有發生星期一晚上在猶他發生的鬧劇。

While announcing a lineup change involving those two players, Jazz announcer
Dan Roberts had his names crossed when he welcomed country singer "Ronnie
Milsap" into play.

在提這兩位先發時，爵士的播音員Dan Roberts介紹了知名的鄉村歌手Ronnie Milsap上場
先發，他也因此丟了工作。
