TORONTO - Depleted by key injuries, the Kings placed guard Bobby Jackson on
the injured list with an abdominal strain Saturday and re-signed swingman
Rodney Buford to a 10-day contract.
Jackson, the team's fourth-leading scorer at 13.9 points per game, must
miss a minimum of five games and likely will miss more.
Buford played six games with the Kings earlier in the season and was releas
-ed in an effort to save money, an ownership decision that went against the
wishes of Kings president Geoff Petrie and coach Rick Adelman. Buford is
expected to be in uniform today.
Sacramento is also expected to regain the services of Tony Massenburg, who
missed Friday night's game against the Chicago Bulls because of food poison
-ing.
