Rockets Take Second Straight Versus Kings
HOUSTON, Oct. 16 (Ticker) -- Steve Francis scored 23 points and
Yao Ming added 20 and 14 rebounds as the Houston Rockets defeated
the Sacramenton Kings, 88-72, in a preseason contest.
Moochie Norris and Bostjan Nachbar contributed 15 points apiece
for the Rockets, who never trailed.
Francis scored 15 points in the first quarter for Houston, which
jumped out to a 14-2 lead and took a 26-15 advantage into the
second quarter.
Houston was clinging to a 42-41 lead 90 seconds into the second
half before embarking on a 15-5 run. The Rockets led comfortably
thereafter.
Houston played without forward Eddie Griffin, who was suspended
indefinitely earlier Thursday for missing practice.
Jabari Smith had 14 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter for
Sacramento, which shot 35 percent and missed all seven of its 3
-point attempts.

火箭今天(17日)靠著兩位主力戰將，Steve Francis 包辦23分以及姚明轟下20
分、14籃板，輕鬆地以88比72擊敗西區數一數二的勁旅國王。
除了姚明與Francis有精采演出外，Moochie Norris與Bostjan Nachbar也各為
球隊貢獻15分，全場僅攻得8分的 Kelvin Cato 還拉下12顆籃板。前鋒 Eddie
Griffin並未出席這場賽事。
雖然全場有17分進帳的 Jabari Smith，在第四節幫國王灌進14分，卻無法力
挽狂瀾。今天國王團隊投籃中率僅 35%，7次三分線出手全數落空。另外，除
Tony Massenburg (11)與 Smith 外，國王沒有其他球員得分超過兩位數。
