        Miller Scores 12 in Kings Deb  

      SACRAMENTO, Oct. 7 (Ticker) --The new center of the Sacramento
      Kings looked good. The new center of the Los Angeles Clippers
      was nowhere to be found.

      Brad Miller scored 12 points in his debut with his new team as
      the Kings rolled to a 101-82 preseason victory over the Clippers,
      who were without Chris Kaman.

      Miller was acquired from Indiana in the offseason as part of a
      three-team trade. The Pacers signed the free agent to a seven-
      year, $68 million deal and traded him to the Kings, who parted
      with forward-center Scot Pollard and forward Hedo Turkoglu.

      The 7-foot Miller, an All-Star last season, was expected to spell
      aging Vlade Divac in the middle. But with All-Star forward Chris
      Webber out until December due to knee surgery, Miller started at
      forward alongside Divac and made 4-of-7 shots in 26 minutes.

      Mike Bibby and Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points each for the Kings,
      who also did not use offseason acquisition Anthony Peeler. Rookie
      Darius Songaila, acquired in a trade with Boston, added 10 points.

      The Clippers anticipated losing 7-footer Michael Olowokandi to
      free agency and drafted Kaman sixth overall. They were hopeful
      Kaman would move into the starting lineup, but he suffered a
      back injury in the offseason and sat out this contest with a
      strained left calf.

      Quentin Richardson scored 20 points and trade acquisition Predrag
      Drobnjak added 12 for Los Angeles, which also played with second-
      year guard Marko Jaric.

      Brad Miller表現稱職　國王輕鬆駛快艇

      前溜馬中鋒 Brad Miller 披上國王戰袍後的處女秀，就以12分、3籃板的
      稱職表現，幫助球隊以101比82輕鬆馴服快艇。

      國王今天除了 Miller 有稱職的演出外，當家控球後衛 Mike Bibby 與
      射手 Peja Stojakovic 兩人都有19分進帳，共計送出5次助攻、抓下4顆
      籃板，還有3次抄截表現，是國王取勝的主要關鍵。

      由於國王明星大前鋒 Chris Webber 必須接受手術治療膝傷，預計要到
      12月才能歸隊。因此，今天國王的先發大前鋒就是由 Miller 擔任，而
      Miller 也不負眾望，以穩健的表現幫助球隊拿到比賽的勝利。

      今年夏天快艇失去中鋒 Michael Olowokandi，雖然選秀時找來 Chris
      Kaman，但 Kaman 今天也因左小腿拉傷而無法上陣，快艇只能靠著 Elton
      Brand 幫忙捍衛禁區，Brand 今天有15分、10籃板的「雙十」演出。而快
      艇陣營得分最高的則是後衛 Quentin Richardson (20分)。
