Postgame Quotes-at Indiana 03/19
Rick Adelman
"It was a great win for us. In the last three minutes of the second quarter
I thought we were more active. (On Jermaine O'Neal) Earlier we were letting
him play one-on-one and we weren't playing with him. (On Ron Artest) We've
gotten a break the whole year because he got thrown out in Sacramento and
didn't play here. It makes a huge difference. (On losing streak) We haven't
been playing well, so it feels good to win. (On Chris Webber's return) It's
hard for us and hard for him to get back in. It changes the rotation around.
The last three quarters he was very solid and says he feels good. This team
responded and I though we were in good shape at the half, only being down
by 11. It's going to be a nice ride home."

Peja Stojakovic
"(On game turnaround) Effort, it was effort on the defensive end. We kept
trying and trying. We knew even if we struggled on the offensive end, we
could keep getting offensive rebounds with effort and we'd be okay. The
intensity of the game was great; it felt like a playoff game. (ON the
Pacers without Ron Artest) Well, we missed Chris the first 60 games,
that's just basketball. We can't look for excuses like I'm sure the Pacers
won't. I know how much he means to the Pacers; but like I said, that's
basketball. I don't think about individuals when I walk into the building,
I think about Kings against Pacers."

Mike Bibby
"(On winning) We are happy to come out of here with a win. It was big
because we fell behind so much in the first half and we were able to come
back. We started to play physical with them and push back. We decided to
put our foot down and we were able to get some stops. (On hitting the
winning shot) We knew we had the last shot because they had no timeouts
left. We wanted to get the shot off no earlier than six seconds left on
the clock. It was designed for me, even if it wasn't designed for me, I
wanted to make something happen out there."

Brad Miller
"(On winning in Indiana) Not only did I want this one real bad, we needed
it just as bad. We were 0-2 on this road trip so far; and we were desperate
for a win. I knew I'd be ready; I just wanted to make sure the rest of my
team was going to be ready. (On Chris Webber) He has his good days and his
bad days; we can't get down on him when he struggles. We have to encourage
him to keep trying. No one can come back from his type of injury that
quick, I mean they drilled holes in his knee. It's going to take time. (On
coming back into Conseco Fieldhouse) This one was a lot harder than the
first game, that was early in the season and it was at our place. It's good
to come back. It was strange to go into the visitors' locker room. That
made it suck even more; but it was good to see the building and the people
in it. If we meet in the Finals, that would be great for me because I would
be home. But we've got a long way to go. They've got to get by New Jersey,
just like we've got to get by San Antonio in the West."
