Q&A With Vlade

Kings.com caught up with Vlade Divac before New Year's to see how things
were going for the big man from Serbia. Here's what he had to say...

Kings.com: Now that we’re about one-third done with the season, how would
you say the team is doing right now?
現在差不多已經完成了這個球季三分之一的賽程了（這篇訪問是在一月
三號），你覺得球隊到目前為止表現的如何？
Vlade: "We’re happy. We know we can do better. Obviously, being
shorthanded, we’re finishing the year on a good note. So,
we’re satisfied. "
我們還挺滿意的 :)。 當然我們知道是可以做的更好。在人手不足的情
況下，我們為 2003 年的賽事繳出了一張不錯的成績單，所以還挺滿意
這樣的結果。
Kings.com: You guys had about a week off last week. How much big is that
for the team?
你們上個星期大概有一個禮拜的時間可以休息，那對於球隊有多少幫
助？

Vlade: "It’s good for practice. Over the last three games (Dallas, Golden
State and Utah), we played ok. But it wasn’t the type of basketball
we know we can play, moving the ball, taking good shots, etc. We
missed some bad shots in our last game. So, this is a good time for
us to practice on those things."
那段時間是個很好的練球機會。過去三場比賽（小牛、勇士、爵士），
我們打的還可以，不過那不是我們所知道我們可以做到的比賽－導球，
找空檔出手，投進漂亮的一球等等－我們上一場球賽，錯過了蠻多很不
錯的出手機會。所以我們可以藉著這段時間，好好練球，來調整之前的
問題。
Kings.com: How important is it to have that practice time?
這段練球的時間對你們有多重要？
Vlade: "Well, when you play good basketball and you know what to do, you
don’t need practice. But when you start losing that (knowledge),
then you need the practices. There are 12 different guys on the
team. And you have to be on the same page."
嗯，當你狀況很好的時候，打的很順，你會知道該怎麼去做，這時候
不需要練球。但是當你開始失去該有的判斷力，就需要練球去做點調
整。整支球隊有 12 個不同的球員在隊上，我們必須要維持一致的節
奏/腳步。
Kings.com: You’ve been playing really good basketball all year. And
you’ve stayed healthy as well. Have you ever had a time in
your career when you had any knee problems?
你整年下來在球場上的表現都很不錯，你身體的健康狀態也保持的很
好。在你的職業生涯中，有沒有過膝蓋之類的受傷問題？
Vlade: "Not really. I’ve had a couple of arthroscopic surgeries. But
nothing else really serious."
其實都還好。我是曾經有做過一些關節內窺鏡的小手術，除此之外，
大概都沒什麼太大的問題。

Kings.com: Any plans for New Year’s?
新年有什麼計畫嗎？
Vlade: "Ah, nothing special."
嗯，沒什麼特別的計畫。 XD
Kings.com: Any New Year’s Resolutions?
那有沒有在新的一年許下的新期望？
Vlade: "No (laughs). I’m too old for that."
沒有欸（笑）。I'm too old for that.
