“We just turned it over (at the end of the first half). I thought we
played with a lot of limitations. They had 21 points off of our (11)
turnovers (in the first half). We talked about that at the beginning of
the game, they (the Grizzlies) run well here, that really opened it up.
It got the crowd going and got a lot of momentum. They took control.”
On the Grizzlies…
“They shot it well, I’ll give them credit. Jason (Williams) and (Mike)
Miller were terrific, (they) made every open shot they had. They knocked
down the threes. It was one of those games, it was pretty much their game.
They controlled it from the start and we could never really make a run in
the second half. I thought they played very well and we did not play very
well. I don’t know if that’s bringing it to you, but that’s the way it
was. I think they were ready to play. They came out... I think they can
definitely play and they are on a run. I think they could definitely be in
the playoffs. They’re one of the better teams in the league. They’ve
played so well the last two weeks. ”
On the Kings’ road trip…
“It’s part of the league, this is our fourth game in five nights. We’ve
been in three different time zones. So, I’m sure that’s part of it. We
had some guys that didn’t look good, that were tired. They took it at our
guys. We played them in the same situation when they came to our place, so
it’s something you can’t talk about, but I think it definitely is a
factor in the way we play. Our guys were tired.”

were shooting the ball well, and continued to shoot well the entire game.
They made a couple of runs during the game and we couldn’t counter them.
They played well tonight.”
On the officiating…
“We had great officiating during the fourth quarter. I won’t comment on
the officiating during the rest of the game, but it was great in the fourth
. We just didn’t take advantage of it in the fourth.”

“They (Grizzlies) played a great game with more intensity than we did. We
couldn’t stop their transition offense and gave up easy looks which opened
up the defense. We tried to get the game back in the second half, but it
was too late. They just played very aggressive. Every time we tried to get
the ball inside they would collapse on it in the paint, making it hard to
kick it back outside. We turned the ball over too much and didn’t make
plays.
On being booed…
“That is going to happen. I don’t think it had anything to do with the
result today. At least you don’t get coins and lighters (thrown) at your
head. It’s okay. Booing happens more often in Europe than over here.”
