他沒有預料封館會持續那麼久
“I wasn’t expecting for it to go this long,”
“I’m just sitting back and waiting until everything is done and see what

他也很關心談判進度，他的經紀人跟老鳥球員都在教他理解新舊CBA條款的差異
“The older players are educating me,” the 24-year-old guard said. ”My
agent is educating me on it.”
他說他在球員代表拒絕聯盟提案前沒有接獲通知
但他尊重任何對球員好的決定 即使要長期抗戰
“If it’s in good interest for the players in the long run,” Thornton said.
“Then yeah I agree with it.”
由於談判沒有進一步進展 他原先說不出國打球的立場開始軟化
然而隊友 JJ HICKSON 在國外的水土不服讓他陷入了考慮
他要跟家人還有經紀人詳細商談後找出最好的解決方式
“It’s going into more consideration now since everything is happening with
the lockout,” he said. “But I haven’t made a decision yet. Still going
to talk with my family and my agent and see what’s the best route.”
幾個月前有傳出外國球隊包含中國跟西班牙球隊都對他有興趣
他表示雙方還沒有具體接觸
“It’s still up in the air,” he said of possible overseas destinations. “I
don’t have a specific place.”
暑假他回到家鄉 Baton Rouge還有到Los Angeles訓練
跟他高中時期幫助他到現在的的恩師Gayle Hatch教練做訓練
在Los Angeles他跟現役NBA球員一起做訓練 包括他在黃蜂時期就認識的好媽吉
現任溜馬控球後衛Darren Collison
“We’re still best of friends so I go out there and work out with him,” he
said of the current Indiana Pacers point guard.
最近國王教練團大更動他也發表了他的看法
他表示Elie跟卡車都是在他加入國王時幫他做了很多私人特訓的好教練
他們的離開另他感到厭惡 但他也理解這是門生意
“You know the last month I was there, Mario Elie helped me out a lot,”
Thornton said. “I would say he really got personal with me and got the
extra work in. We did a lot of one-on-one stuff together and Truck Robinson
too. They were great. I hate to see them go, but it is a business.”
然而他也期待新的教練團帶給他的東西
Bobby Jackson 是他來到國王給予他一些指導的顧問
Keith Smart跟他住的很近
他對兩人的加入表示歡迎
“He (Jackson) helped mentor me when I was there for that month,” Thornton
said. “So it’s good to see him get a shot at a coaching job. And Keith
Smart, he’s from my neck of the woods. So it’s always good to see somebody
in your backyard get a shot too. I think it’s going to work out great.”
