The first clip goes back to 2006 and a showdown between two exceptional John
Calipari disciples. Evans versus Derek Rose, high school style. Tyreke is
hoping to capture the same lighting in a bottle as Rose did in his third
season when he elevated his game exponentially, earning his first MVP award
as a member of the Bulls. Year number three seems to be the magical moment
for many young NBA players. While we don’t expect an MVP award for Evans,
there is hope that Evans can build on his impressive rookie season and forget
about that injury plagued sophomore year.
