Kings notes: May accepts inactivity during winning streak

不經一番寒徹骨，哪得梅花撲鼻香

It's been 10 days since Sean May appeared in a Kings game, but he understands
because the team hasn't lost during that span.

    上次看到阿梅出場，好像已經是十天以前了，不過他理解他不能上場的原因。

May started the first four games of the season but has not played since
Sacramento's win at Utah on Nov. 7. That victory was the first of four in a
row for the Kings.

    前四場比賽他都是先發，但在對上爵士之後，他就再也沒上場過了。

"(Tonight) if my number's called, I will be ready," May said Monday after
practice. "If not, this team's rolling. The one thing is you can't expect
change when the team is rolling and playing well. So when my number's called,
I'll just be ready."

    「如果有叫到我，我會準備好的。如果沒有，因為球隊的狀況正好，所以很難去期待
情形有什麼變化，我只能等待被召喚的一天，然後為那一刻充份準備。」阿梅說。

Coming off four injury-plagued seasons with Charlotte, May came to Sacramento
hoping the Kings would give him an opportunity to play a lot.

    結束傷病的前四季後，阿梅來到國王尋求一個機會。

May signed a one-year contract in the offseason, looking to fill the team's
need for another big body in the paint.

    他和球隊簽下一年合約，希望可以補上球隊對大個子的需求。

But after starting four games, he was replaced by Spencer Hawes in the
starting lineup. Jason Thompson is playing well, and coach Paul Westphal also
has used Kenny Thomas as a backup power forward lately.

    但在四場先發過後，先是被Hawes 取代先發。JT打得很好，而教頭也喜歡用KT做為大
前鋒替補。

"I knew coming in here they're invested in Spencer and J.T.," May said. "I
was going to have an opportunity to play, obviously, but you try not to worry
about it. I talked to coach, and he's done a great job of keeping lines of
communication open. One thing he told me (Sunday) was I'm not in the
doghouse. He didn't wake up one morning and say, 'I'm not going to play Sean
May.' "

    「我知道Spencer 和JT是他們的重點。我還是會有機會的，我不會對這點太擔心。我
已經和教頭溝通過，而他也願意和我交流。他告訴我我並沒有失寵，也沒有說過『西恩別
想打了。』」阿梅說。

Westphal said the coaching staff still has confidence in May and he's "not
against using him at all." Westphal also said the decline in May's playing
time has more to do with how well the Kings are playing.

    教頭說教練團依然對阿梅有信心，只是不確定使用他的方式。而May 的上場時間也取
決於國王的狀況。

May averaged 18.7 minutes in his first three games but only 8.7 minutes in
his last three appearances.

    前三戰中阿梅平均上18.7分鐘，可是接下來三戰他只上8.7分鐘。

"I don't look at it like we jerked Sean from the lineup," Westphal said. " …
 But nobody's mad at him, and nobody's thinking he's not able to play well.
We always want him to be in better shape and more intense, and I think that's
what we tell him. Other than that, there's no problem with Sean."

    「我們並不是要搞他，沒有人對他不滿，沒有人認為他不能打。我們希望他能加強身
體、更加積極，這才是他的課題。除此之外，阿梅很好。」教頭說。


傷兵情報 -

Injury updates – Forward Andres Nocioni (right hip pointer) is questionable
for tonight's game.

    Nocioni右髖關節受傷，可能無法出戰今天的比賽。

Nocioni injured his hip in Friday's win over Houston. Westphal was encouraged
that Nocioni took part in non-contact drills and felt better.

    Noci是在星期五的比賽中受傷的。他進行了些沒碰撞的訓練且感覺到好多了。

Meanwhile, rookie forward Omri Casspi said his sprained left ankle feels fine.

    新秀Casspi說他的腳踝OK。

"I'm 100 percent," Casspi said. "I told coach. I'm excited for (tonight's
game). I'm ready."

    「100%！沒問題！我準備好要上場了。」

有時想想，還好是Hawes在場上，不然進攻看到Brockman、防守看到May，那多慘不忍睹
