CHICAGO- Jon Brockman wanted to play.

The Kings rookie and resident tough guy was ready to play through his
lower-back pain, with the decision that he would sit out Friday at Minnesota
and Saturday in Milwaukee determined by the team's training staff.
國王的菜鳥同時也是全隊公認的硬漢已經從背傷中復元，為此他錯過了明尼蘇達以密爾瓦
基的比賽和訓練。

"Make sure you put that in there," Brockman said after the Kings' shocking
35-point comeback win over Chicago on Monday. "It was just going to be worse
if I played rather than better."

But when Brockman finally returned to the floor, there was no doubt he made
the Kings better. Amid Tyreke Evans' fantastic finish, Brockman and Ime Udoka
simply outfought the Bulls for every valuable ball. Udoka stripped Derrick
Rose on a drive in the final two minutes, with Brockman diving on the loose
ball for a jump ball. Udoka won the tip which led to another Evans score. And
when Evans stopped Rose on a late drive that would have tied the game, it was
fitting that Brockman grabbed the rebound.

"The guy that turned the game around is Jon Brockman," Kings coach Paul
Westphal said. "What an unbelievably tough performance by him. It just
changed the whole game,and gave our offensive players a chance to make some
plays. And they did."
「洛克人把比賽拉回來的。」西法說。

After joking that Brockman had gone soft by sitting out in Minnesota,
Westphal was certainly in the mood to keep the ribbings coming. "We brought
Brockman on the (three game road) trip, and all he was doing was eating and
nursing his back," Westphal quipped. "I'm glad he finally decided to play."

Before his teammates would go 4 of 27 from beyond the arc at Minnesota, the
shooting guard who continues to recover from his Nov. 9 surgery to repair a
hairline fracture in his left wrist buried a flurry of three-pointers on the
Target Center floor.

Yet while Martin isn't quite ready for action, he said his Dec. 30 CT scan
could be quickly followed by his return in early January if all goes well.

上。

"I'll know more after that," he said. "It could be (early January)."

Martin began shooting again nearly two weeks ago, and he has begun doing
dribbling drills with both hands.

Abatemarco added to Kings - Former Monarchs assistant coach and radio
personality Tom Abatemarco has been added to the Kings' scouting staff.
Abatemarco加入國王，前Monarchs的助理教練和擁有私人無線電台的Tom Abatemarco加入
國王紀錄組。

Abatemarco, who spent last season as an assistant coach for the Kings' NBA
Development League team in Reno, will mostly scout the D-League. It is a
position formerly held by Steve Shuman, who was laid off with the team's
cutbacks last season.
他是國王上季發展聯盟的助理教練。他的新職務之前由Steve Shuman擔任，但他在上季縮
