Inside the Mind of Bobby Jackson

It's not often that you get access into the mind of an NBA player to find
out what's going besides hoops. Most of the interaction between players
and the media revolves around the action on the court--that is, until now.
Kings.com sat down with Bobby Jackson recently to see what's going on in
his life besides basketball.

Kings.com: You seem to come into ARCO Arena with a different throwback
jersey every time. How many jerseys do you have?
你好像常常穿著不同的球衣去 ARCO Arena，到底你有多少件球衣呢？

Jackson: "To be honest, I don’t even know. But I would say I have over
100. Mostly football and baseball. I don’t wear basketball
jerseys because I don’t want to wear another team’s jersey."
老實說，我也搞不清楚，也許，有個 100 件吧。 我的球衣多半是美
式足球和棒球的。我不穿籃球的球衣，因為我不想穿其他球隊的球衣
。
Kings.com: Do you watch reality shows on TV?
你看電視播出的 reality show 嗎？
Jackson: " Oh yeah. I love reality shows. I was just watching Average
Joe Hawaii the other night. That was hilarious. It’s real life
people with no acting. And it’s straight from the heart. What
they say and what they do is what they really mean. That’s why
I like reality shows. "
嗯，沒錯。我喜歡 reality show (真實秀 XD) 我之前某晚才看了
Average Joe Hawaii (節目名稱)。 那真的很爆笑。那是人們真實
的生活，而不是演戲，那是打從心裡表現出來的。不論他們說什麼
、不管他們做什麼，都是他們真正想表達出來的。這就是為什麼我
喜歡 reality show。
（pistonJW：Average Joe Hawaii 比較像是 survivor game 之類
的節目，一群俊男企圖爭奪美女的芳心。）
Kings.com: Who are the top three best dressers on the team?
隊上最會打扮的三個人是哪三個？
Jackson: " Me … (pauses) … Dougie, and I would probably say Peja. "
我 ... (停頓一下) ... Dougie (Doug?!)，還有，應該是 Peja。
Kings.com: In that particular order?
也是照著這樣的順序排的嗎？(最會→第二會→第三會)
Jackson: "Yeah."

Coincidentally, Peja Stojakovic walked into the room with a ‘fashion
faux pas’ – having on brown shoes with a black sweater and black
leather jacket.
剛好，這時候 Peja Stojakovic 走進房間，他的打扮有點跟不上流行－穿著褐
色(棕色)的鞋子，搭配黑色的毛線衣和黑色的皮衣。
“You need some black shoes with that and you’ll be alright,” Jackson
told Stojakovic. “You have on a black top. Don’t wear brown shoes.
Black, man. Come on. Stop doing that. It doesn’t match. You need to
put on some black Air Force Ones on or something.”
Jackson 跟 Stojakovic 說：“你得換雙黑色的鞋子去搭配，這樣會比較好，你
上半身穿黑色的衣服，別穿褐色(棕色)的鞋子，要穿黑色的。老兄，拜託下次別
再這樣穿了，很不搭。”

Kings.com: What is the worst job you ever had growing up?
你覺得做過最糟的工作是什麼？
Jackson: "Working at a hospital. I was a reception. It was a summer job
when I was in college. I was a sports medicine major. They had
me doing reception work at the hospital. So, it was something
I had to do."
在醫院工作。我當時是在醫院接待處服務。那是我念大學時的暑期
打工。因為我是主修運動醫學，他們就讓我在醫院的接待處服務，
所以我是一定得去做這份工作。
Kings.com: What is the first car you’ve ever owned?
你擁有的第一部車是什麼車？
Jackson: "A 1997 Nissan Maxima. When I was coming out (into the league),
I didn’t know if I was going to be a first-round pick. So, I
decided to get something I could afford at the time. So, that
wound up being my first car. "
1997 年的 Nissan Maxima。當我要進 NBA 的時候，我沒辦法確定自
己能不能在第一輪就被選上，所以我決定就買當時自己能買得起的車
。然後那就成為我的第一部車囉。
