     Bobby Jackson-Sixth Man of the Year Press Conference

    Bobby:“It’s a great honor to be named the Sixth Man of the Year.
           There were a lot of great athletes that were honored in the
           past. It just says a lot about this team and about how hard
           I worked to prepare my game the last three years that I’ve
           been here. I can’t say how much this says about the team.
           These guys make me better, the coaching staff makes me better
           —they gave me the freedom to come out and play my game. That
           speaks for itself.”

    Bobby:真的非常榮幸獲選年度最佳第六人獎.有很多極其出色的運動員在過去
          都曾獲得這項殊榮.這個獎說明了這支球隊以及從我加入這裡的過去三
          年來我是多麼認真盡力去準備這些比賽.我無法形容這對球隊有多大的
          意義.隊友們使我成長,教練團讓我成為更出色的球員-他們給我自由揮
          灑的空間去表現我每場比賽.這就是這個獎項的價值所在吧.

    How much do you wish your late mother, who passed away this season,
    could be here now?

    Q:你有多希望在這個球季過世的母親能夠在這裡看到你今天受到的肯定?

    Bobby: “A lot. Once she died, I always said I would dedicate
           everything I got, and I’m going to try and dedicate this
           season to her. I wanted to just come out and play my best
           basketball, and I’ve done that. Hopefully she’s looking
           down on me to see what I’ve achieved. I wish she could be
           here for it. You can’t describe it, because I wish she was
           here with me –I wish she was here to she what I achieved.”

    Bobby:非常希望.從她過世後,我總是說我會奉獻一切我所擁有的,而我也會為
          她在這個球季盡我所能去努力專注比賽.我只是想要有所發揮並且享受
          我最喜歡的籃球比賽,而我也做到了.希望她能看到我在這裡所達到的
          成就.我希望她能在這邊和我分享這份榮耀.這種感覺很難形容,我希望
          她能夠和我一起在這裡-希望她能夠在這裡分享我所獲得的肯定.

    How much of your success can be attributed to coming to the Kings?

    Q:來到國王隊後對你的成就有多大的幫助?

    Bobby: “I had freedom my rookie year, but once I got traded (to
           Minnesota) I didn’t have any freedom at all. It was a
           learning situation. But once I got here, the sky was the
           limit and they knew what I could do. I came in and worked
           hard everyday during the season and during the summertime.
           My work speaks for myself—I just go out and try to play
           hard everyday.”


    Bobby:在我新人球季的發揮上非常自由,可是從我被交易到明尼蘇達後就再也
          不是那麼一回事了.那是一個在學習的環境和情況.不過到了國王隊後,
          沒有任何的限制,他們肯定我的能力.我投入比賽,不管在球季也好,暑
          期停賽時也好,每天我都全力以赴.我的表現說明了我所付出的-我就是
          認真做好我的工作試著打好每一場球賽.

    Why do you think the coaches give you so much freedom?

    Q:為什麼會覺得教練團給了你很大的空間發揮?

    Bobby:“They see how hard I work and how hard I work in the summer
           time. I’m really dedicated to shooting, playing and leaning
           more about the game. I still feel that I have a lot of growth
           to learn and improve my game. Just coming here and being here
           everyday in the summer time, no question in my mind, that
           (the coaches) saw how dedicated and prepared I was to play.”

    Bobby:他們看到我對於工作的付出,看到我在暑期停賽時間又是付出多少.我真
          的是很努力練習投射,學習更多關於比賽的東西.我認為我還有許多成長
          進步的空間去提升我在比賽時表現的品質.每一天每一天的練球,毫無疑
          問的,他們(教練團)看到了我的這些付出和對球賽所做的努力.

    Have you always worked so hard?

    Q:你一向都如此勤奮練球嗎?

    Bobby:“I’ve always felt like that. Every summer I always stay in
           the gym and make sure I work on the things that people said
           I wasn’t good at. I feel like I can still get better.”

    Bobby:我覺得一直都是如此.每個夏天我都待在體育館以確定我有在加強大家
          說我所不擅長,不夠好的地方.我想我可以做的更好.

    How satisfying is this award considering the Kings have been shutout
    of the postseason awards the last few seasons?

    Q:相較於過去幾個球季國王隊爭取例行賽獎項的落空,這個獎對你們的鼓勵有多大?

    Bobby:“I think last year coach should have gotten coach of the
           year. Nothing against Greg Popovich—he got 60 wins this
           year and we got 61 last year and coach didn’t get it. We
           could have gotten a couple or awards last year with Doug
           as defensive player of the year. Maybe they’ll get it
           next year. We’ve got a lot of guys that deserve a lot
           awards, but our main goal is to win an NBA Championship,
           and that’s what we’re really focused ."

    Bobby:我認為去年老K臉教練應該拿下年度最佳教練獎.沒有要貶低Greg
          Popovich教練的意思-他今年拿下60勝的佳績,而去年我們也有61勝的成
          績,不過老K臉教練卻沒得到最佳教練獎.我們在去年應該可以拿下一些
          獎項,就像Doug應該獲得年度最佳防守球員的肯定,不過我們最主要的目
          標還是贏得NBA總冠軍,那才是我們真正關注的焦點.
