The show was initially described as an adult film when Jackie Christie broke the news Wednesday on the "Rickey Smiley Morning Show," a syndicated national radio show. Jackie Christie clarified that later Wednesday, telling The Bee the series will focus on couples and sexual intimacy. She called it adult content, but not pornography. "It has adult content, and it definitely will have some surprises. It is for mature audiences, and yes, it will have nudity. But it will have a message, plots, and relate to real issues," said Jackie Christie, who will return for a second season on VH1's "Basketball Wives." Neither she nor Doug Christie would appear on camera for their series, she said. "We're not (acting), but there will be celebrities and other athletes. I think people are definitely going to be surprised," she said. While financing details aren't finalized, Jackie Christie said she hopes to start production through their company Big Son Media in June. "It's one of the things on our bucket list. We wanted to help other couples, and while this is a very personal part of our relationship, this is an area where a lot of couples have problems. We also think this can help them with their communication," she said. Jackie and Doug Christie's relationship has long been the subject of public conversation, especially in Sacramento. He played for the Sacramento Kings from 2000 to 2005, but no longer plays in the NBA. Jackie Christie reportedly insisted on traveling with the Kings and went to great lengths to scare off any temptations for her husband. In 2007, the couple self-published a book about their relationship, "No Ordinary Love." The Christies, who now live in Los Angeles, are publishing a new book, "Sexual Relations: A His and Her Guide to Finding Greater Intimacy." While their adult-oriented series would have more traction if the Christies appeared in it, the couple's celebrity is a plus in the crowded market, said Steve Javors, managing editor of AVN Media Network, a trade publication for the adult industry. "The exposure that she could give it could make it sellable," Javors said. "It's a pretty easy market to jump into."
