The Knicks almost experienced something even worse than losing to the Bulls:
losing Stephon Marbury.
The veteran point guard injured his left knee in the second quarter, which
forced him into the locker room for a few minutes. After being quickly
examined by team doctors, Marbury returned and played 22 of a possible
26 minutes.
"I banged my knee a little bit," Marbury said. "I'm all right."
Marbury appeared to grimace on several occasions but he still was effective
in the second half, scoring 15 of his 25 points. The Knicks' only concern is
that his knee could stiffen overnight. The Knicks will practice today and
face the Raptors in Toronto tomorrow.
