Place Anfernee Hardaway on the Injured List

NEW YORK, March 21, 2005 –

New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas

announced today that center Jackie Butler has been activated and guard/forward

Anfernee Hardaway has been placed on the Injured List with a strained right

hamstring.

Butler, 6-10, 250-pounds, was signed as a free agent on Feb. 27 and placed on

the Injured List on Feb. 28 with right patella tendinitis.

Hardaway, 6-7, 215-pounds, was averaging 7.3 points and 2.4 rebounds and 24.2

minutes in 37 bench appearances this season. The 11-year NBA veteran has

already missed 24 games this season due to a strained right hamstring

The active roster remains at 12, with two on the Injured List.
